Hello

Photo Guide

Should I take pictures of my property?

The answer to this is yes if you want to find a tenant quickly, tenants viewing your property details online will easily pass over a property that does not have a picture or only has an exterior picture. Makeurmove has found that we receive 80% more enquiries into properties with pictures than we do those without or with only 1-2 pictures.

What rooms are most important to photograph?

Makeurmove recommends that a primary photo should be of the main living or kitchen areas as these are the rooms that most tenants are interested in. Obviously pictures of bedrooms and bathrooms will also assist you when finding a tenant.

What should be in my picture?

When you are taking your picture consider the following;

  • The area is clean, tidy and presentable
  • The natural light is at it s best open any curtains or blinds
  • Switch on lights
  • Any original features are highlighted
  • You have included furniture which will be rented with the property
  • Wherever possible remove any personal items
    • Remove any bins and close toilet lids
    • Remove evidence of pets
    • Use angles wherever possible
    • Use floral arrangements in kitchens/living rooms and bathrooms
    • Avoid shooting into mirrors because you may be in the reflection

Once you have your pictures you can upload them to your account at www.makeurmove.co.uk or email letting@makeurmove.co.uk with the pictures attached. We can add up to 10 pictures to your marketing and will choose the best out of the ones provided.

If you would like to discuss this further please call our Letting Team on 0844 247 2480.
