8 Crescent Road was completely refurbished throughout 2013. Since then, we have been working very hard to keep our high standards. As landlords, we make sure the property is well maintained. Some of the work we do ourselves, such as the gardening, the communal cleaning and also some maintenance, repair and improvement work, although we do have recourse to experts when we think the job is beyond our capabilities!
We care very much about the property and expect our tenants to do the same. When a room becomes vacant, we always look for a respectful and tidy tenant to come and join the friendly professionals who already live here. Respect and tidiness are important to us, particularly when facilities need to be shared.
We are very fortunate that we have been able to build three kitchens. In our opinion, they are of a high standard and well equipped. The appliances you will find in each of them are: a fitted hob and oven, a tall fridge freezer, a kettle and a toaster along with numerous base and wall units. The washing machine, tumble dryer and dish washer are in the downstairs kitchens.
On the ground floor, there is one bathroom and two cloakrooms. At mid level, there is a second bathroom and two other cloakrooms. The communal household equipment (i.e vacuum cleaners, mops, irons, ironing boards etc. ) are kept in the under-stairs cupboard.
There are two small, comfortable sitting areas as well as the lounge: one on the ground floor, near the stairs and one on the landing. The house is carpeted throughout with various paintings and pictures on the walls and the building retains many Victorian features; this is possibly what gives it a lovely homely feel.
The lounge is spacious and is supplied with a large screen TV and a Blu ray player. It comprises of 3 large sofas (a 3 seater and two 2 seaters), a good sized coffee table and a round dining table with four chairs. The lounge leads into the garden through the patio doors.
The front garden is enclosed and offers a good degree of privacy. Tenants are welcome to use their own barbecue if they wish to do so. Two picnic tables with benches and a large swing chair are part of the garden furniture. There is a small vegetable plot that can be made available to tenants.
Off road parking is available in our private car park where a secure bike shed can also be found.
